It is a common foot condition and presents itself oftent with pain in the beginning part of the foot and increased by activity.
Its considered to develop as a result of repeated internal trauma which leads to a fibrosis and impingement of nerves. This could be due to an alignment issue or even ill fitting shoes too.
Physical examination and assessment is essential with a few diagnostics points to confirm it. Treatment is started conservative, but if these fail then steroid injections are alternatives.
